About the Role
Blue Wave Technologies is looking for a DevSecOps engineer on our team, you’ll use your development experience to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to build your experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and DevSecOps for a critical application providing timely benefits to citizens.
Responsibilities:
The Engineer will design, build, and provide implementation guidance and support for:
• A diverse set of hybrid on-premise/cloud environments composed of AWS for PaaS/IaaS (including the secure build-out of a new DevOps environment for application delivery); and software-defined network infrastructure technologies focused on security services operation, e.g. firewall management, proxy services, IT health check management, and event management, patching, monitoring, etc.
• Design, develop, and implement automation to support continuous integration and continuous delivery solutions for Infrastructure and Application platforms.
• Work in a DevSecOps capacity with a desire to automate everything.
• Construct/Manage Docker ecosystems.
• Maintain end-to-end security ensuring best practices are always implemented.
• Provision and maintain all servers using configuration management tools.
• Deliver infrastructure as code.
Clearance:
• Must have or be eligible for TS security clearance preferred; DHS EOD/Public Trust acceptable. Must be able to maintain the required clearance to include US citizenship

Requirements
3+ years of experience with Linux
2+ years of experience with Cloud
Experience with source control management (SCM) systems
Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience with continuous integration tools, including Jenkins and Hudson
Experience with supporting production systems
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Preferred
Experience with supporting external facing production systems in the federal government space.
Experience with configuration management tools, including Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
Experience with test-driven development or behavior-driven development.
Experience with Groovy.
Experience with Containerization, including Docker.
Experience with Web Services, including REST or SOAP.
Experience with static code analysis, including Sonar.
Experience with systems development for federal clients.
Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts, including CIDRs or Subnetting.
Experience with continuous integration tool such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis or others.
Experience with infrastructure as code tool such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
Experience containerizing applications.
Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Jest, Unit and others.
Experience with JAVA and Javascript.
Knowledge of static code analysis such as Sonar or Fortity.
Knowledge of application vulnerability scanners, including IBM AppScan, Tenable, or Nessus.
