About the Role
Blue Wave Technologies is seeking Technical Writer to research, gather, organize, write, edit, and produces technical proposal content material. These materials provide support to capture managers in the development of public/private sector proposals in response to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. Duties may also include creating various operations and maintenance manuals.
The candidate will additionally support marketing activities for the development of marketing collateral and technical documentation for engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
• Carefully reviews RFPs, RFIs, etc. to identify potential issues with requirements and follows up with assigned team members responsible for those task items.
• Prepares proposal outlines in accordance with Sections L, M, and C (SOW/PWS).
• Supports Proposal Manager in developing Themes, Hot-Buttons, Strategy, and Structure.
• Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of narrative and graphics.
• Researches available technical data including product information, operational concepts, technical approaches, drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications.
• Researches, develops, and writes content for technical and management volumes.
• Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and departmental specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
• Creates graphic illustrations, charts, matrices, flow diagrams, and process flow charts.
• Maintains proposal archive, past performance, and resume database.
• Coordinates with subcontractors ensuring company standards and RFP requirements are met.
• Reviews proposals to verify the accuracy/consistency of narratives and company data points.
• Works directly with proposal managers to create proposal content strategy and structure.
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of products and their documentation requirements
•Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses
Clearance:
• Must have or be eligible for TS security clearance preferred; DHS EOD/Public Trust acceptable. Must be able to maintain the required clearance to include US citizenship

Requirements
Proven working experience in technical writing and product documentation
Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Strong written and oral communication skills
Expert experience with word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and Illustrator.
Self-starter with initiative and drive, capable of executing rapidly and thriving in a demanding, result-oriented, and fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
5+ years of experience in technical writing
Experience writing cybersecurity documents and publications
Experience reviewing and editing work products written by other team members
Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Mastery of English grammar, sentences syntax and formatting.
Mastery of Microsoft Office products including Word and PowerPoint.
Federal Gov't Proposal Support, Writing, and Editing: 5 years (Required)
Technical Knowledge of IT/Telecom market: 3 years (Required)
Interpreting Federal Gov RFP, RFQ, & RFI documentation: 5 years (Preferred)
